I love the Ruby Bridges story. I used the painting done by Norman Rockwell, The Problem We All Live With, as an example for a piece of Social Change Art in my Senior Study at Goddard. I love how an artist like Rockwell, who mainly paints happy times like kids sitting in Soda Shops, also took great interest in political and social issues and used his art to portray his concerns.
I love that girl... this is a classic report from a child, but with some pretty heavy subject matter. I think at her age I did a report on a Basset Hound!
